A sneaker seven years in the making, the launch of Nike's Vapormax marked a huge leap forward in Air technology. The brand's Cushioning Innovation Designer –
not a job we were ever informed of by our careers advisor, unfortunately – Zachary Elder and Senior Footwear Designer Tom Minami set out to capture the feeling of
'running on air' and if you've tried a pair on then you’ll know that's just about true. A lightweight Flyknit upper sits on top of a unique restructured Air unit and,
with no sockliner or midsole, you get to feel the Air in a whole new way. Let's face it though – in sneakers as fresh as these ones are, are you really going to be
pounding the pavements? Nah, us neither.
